8 Hot Apartment Deals In Houston Right Now

Summer is here and Houston moving season is in full swing. People are relocating to the area from all over the country (and world) as they finish college and start new jobs, medical programs and graduate school. Others are being transferred with their companies and many are just moving locally during the summer break. This time of year tends to result in the highest rates for renters, but this year is different. The city has many projects still in construction and several that have just opened. Renters have so many choices and incentives are necessary to increase occupancy in these new lease-ups. The ULR Properties team and I chatted about our favorite properties and specials to put together a list just for you. Here are 8 hot apartment deals in Houston right now!

The Heights Kitchen

The Heights – 1300 North Post Oak – This new community located just north of I-10 and a smidge West of 610 has incredibly low rates. Studios start at $1100, one bedrooms are as low as $1195 and two bedroom homes are starting at $1850, PLUS 2 months free on a 14 month lease! Each apartment home features wood-style floors, slab granite counters, a stainless steel appliance package and chef-inspired kitchen. The community is 100% smoke free, features a luxury lap pool with cabanas and grills, a CrossFit inspired fitness center, detached private garages and is pet friendly. With the special lowering the effective rate, this just might be the most affordable new option in Houston.

The James River Oaks Living Room

River Oaks – The James River Oaks – This community has a private bar for residents only. Wrap up a long day at the office and know that you’re safe to have a cocktail (or 5) and stumble right home. Drinks range from $6-$12. This community along Mid Lane really is elegant with quartz counters, solid wood cabinetry, built-ins, upscale pendant lighting and mud rooms. In addition to the on-site bar, the community offers some high-end amenities! A library, fireside seating by the infinity pool, business conference room and private garages are just a few. One bedroom homes start at $1774 and two bedrooms are starting at $2672. The current special is two months free (one upfront and one prorated), effectively reducing the rates to $1521 and $2291.

Arrabella Living Room

Energy Corridor – The Arrabella – These town homes offer a convenient way to transition out of apartment living without giving up the amenities. This community offers a state-of-the-art fitness center, a dog run, a resort-style pool and some homes have private yards! All homes feature slab-granite islands in the chef style kitchen, are very open layouts with soaring ceilings and have attached garages. With two months free on one bedrooms and three months free on two bedrooms, the effective starting rates are $1565 and $1808.

3800 Main Living and Kitchen

Midtown – 3800 Main – This community is right across the street from the Breakfast Klub – how cool is that? Mid-Main is right around the corner where a live music show can be caught any night, and especially on weekends, plus there’s pretty good comfort food. Located on the METROrail, this is a great choice for anyone commuting to downtown or the Texas Medical Center. Units feature granite counters, stainless appliances, hard wood floors, huge soaking tubs and spacious balconies. The fitness center has a spinning room and the sky lounge boasts a stunning view of downtown when entertaining. The market rate on a one bedroom is $1425 and on a 2 bedroom it is $2340. With 8 weeks free on top of these rates, the effective rents come out to $1206 and $1980.

Market Square Tower Kitchen and Living

Downtown – Market Square Tower – Another truly elegant residential building, this tower is probably already famous for the see-through pool high in the sky. If this terrifies you, there’s a second pool on a lower level for those prone to vertigo. The views of downtown and the rest of the city are breathtaking, and Market Square is right across the street. Main Street and the Theatre District are both only a couple of blocks. Amenities include a Grand Ballroom with catering kitchen, 4th floor arcade with golf simulator, steam, sauna and massage rooms, guaranteed cell service throughout the entire building and pet walking. The building is full service with valet, concierge, and dry cleaning. Individual homes boast floor to ceiling windows, gas ranges, wine fridges, art niches, solar shades, separate walk-in showers and marble counters. This is certainly one of the more expensive communities on the market right now, but you can’t deny that half off the first 6 months is a hot deal! Pre-special starting rates for a one bedroom with a view is $2420 and for a 2 bedroom is $4055, and leasing for move-ins in mid-November. If a view isn’t important to you, there are additional options starting at lower prices.


District 28 Kitchen and Living

Medical Center– District 28 – This new community is all about location. Mere minutes to the Texas Medical Center and also close to Hermann Park, the Museum District, and Downtown. Community features include a 24 hour fitness center with massage room, latte lounge and on-site dog park. The interiors are really where the community excels though with open, spacious layouts and finish choices. Choose your wood floors and customize your kitchen counters and backsplash. One bedrooms start around $1385 and 2 bedrooms are starting at $1865. Throw in a free month and an extra $500 discount on the 2nd month, and that really lowers your out of pocket cost. This deal, when factored in, reduces the effective rates to $1228 and $1668.

Alta West End Living and Kitchen

Washington Corridor – Alta West End – It doesn’t get more central than this community on Heights Boulevard. Convenient access to I-10, I-45 and 610 for commuting, and only a short Uber ride to any hot Houston neighborhood for entertainment. Walk to grocery, shops, dining and fitness too! The community is close enough to Washington Avenue and The Heights for a good time, but just far enough away for a good night’s rest. Corner units feature huge floor-to-ceiling windows, and all homes offer open kitchens with quartz counters and stainless steel appliances. Stand-alone showers and flex spaces are also available. The community is pet friendly with an on-site dog wash and pet walking services, too! Rates start at $1543 on one bedroom homes and $2209 for two bedroom apartments. With the promotion of  10 Weeks Free prorated throughout the lease term, the effective monthly rates drop to $1247 and $1785.

Pearl Woodlake Living

Galleria – Pearl Woodlake – Situated just between City Centre and the Galleria Mall, you can shop till you drop! Location lends to easy freeway access including Beltway 8, I-10, 610 and 59. Homes have large, open kitchens with quartz counters and stainless steel appliance packages.  The bathrooms are an oasis with soaking tubs and stand-alone showers, plus Bluetooth enabled sound systems are built in. This property offers a 24/7 package retrieval, system, solar chargers by the pool for your phone, and electric car charging stations. Apartment homes start at $1425 for one bedrooms and $1800. They’re throwing in 2 months free! Prorate that into a 12 month lease, and the efffective monthly rates are $1188 and $1500!
