2022 Colors of the Year

Colors resonate with people for different reasons. There’s something for everyone in the 2022 Colors of the Year, and it’s safe to say that some of these big-name choices will stick around for a while! Here are a handful that stand out:

Dunn-Edwards’ “Art and Craft”: Rich earth tones don’t just give off down-to-earth vibes – they give homeowners a chance to let their décor pop! The classic color exudes calmness and is most popular among those who love folksy and bohemian trends. Jewel tones and neutrals both stand out with this fabulous wall color, so you won’t have to worry too much about buying new accessories after you make the change.

Benjamin Moore’s “October Mist 1495”: Despite the name, this silvery-green color is reminiscent of all seasons. The cool tone has a wintry feel while still reminding eager decorators of the stem of a flower. The gentle sage color pairs well with the other colors in Benjamin Moore’s 2022 palette and works well in any room you’d like to uplift and give a more harmonious feel.

Sherwin-Williams’ “Evergreen Fog”: Noticing a trend here? Most of the colors of the year have organic vibes, and that is certainly also the case for this mid-tone gray-green shade. It can help establish a sense of calm in busy areas of the home like entryways, the kitchen, offices, and living rooms. Natural woods and metals complement this stunning organic shade.

HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams’ “Aleutian”: If pops of color are more your style, this faded powder blue will definitely catch your eye. It’s part of a larger collection called “Softened Refuge,” which mostly features simple, elegant neutrals that could help craft a relaxing atmosphere in any space. Because Aleutian is a cool color with warm undertones, it pairs well with a variety of other colors. To keep things balanced, keep decor neutral-toned and sprinkle in natural textures.
