The Best Houston Mural Walls Part Two

The Best Houston Mural Walls Part Two

If you saw my last post about Houston murals, you may have been left wondering about all the other amazing murals in the city. While there are simply too many good ones to share, here are some more of my favorites! If you have a chance to take a look at them, I’d love to know what you think about the best Houston mural walls part two.

Biscuit Paint Wall
We could all use a little more color in our lives, right? Biscuit Paint Wall located at 1435 Westheimer Road provides just that. Painted on the side of Biscuit Home by famed muralist Sebastien Boileau, this pretty rainbow mural in Montrose, Houston attracts a lot of attention. I recommend visiting on both a sunny day and a rainy one, if possible since the colors in this mural can appear totally different shades in different lighting!

Greetings From Houston
I don’t think there’s a more Instagram-worthy mural in Houston! Greetings From Houston is located on the side of the former Gelazzi, an Italian gelato shop in the Houston Heights on White Oak. Although Gelazzi has been closed since the summer of 2019, it is still considered an old Heights favorite, which makes this spot notable to locals. After you check out this homage to Houston, why not do some shopping in the Heights? It’s one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Houston, after all.

Perfect Wave
Couldn’t we all go for a cool Hawaiian wave like this come summer? I know I could! This mural painted by Brazilian artist Hilton Alves is a welcome reminder during warm weather that Houstonians can beat the hot Texas heat – even if the reality is less makai and more glorious air conditioning. Located at 3100 Commerce Street in East Downtown Houston, you may have to do a double-take to realize you’re looking at it. From a distance, it can look just like a photograph!

Hummingbird Wall
Hummingbird Wall is a real treat for birdwatchers. Located at 5102 Navigation Boulevard in the EaDo area of Houston, this mural’s beautiful warm tones are complemented by just the right amount of cool shades of blue and purple. There is something almost magical about reimagining Earth’s creatures in such a fantastic and colorful way, and I’m sure you’ll love Hummingbird Wall as much as I do.
