Oak Forest is now the third largest subdivision in Houston.

Shopping: This is a quiet, residential neighborhood perfect for those looking to live a tad away from the heart of the city while still maintaining access to it. Communities with excellent shopping opportunities, such as the Heights and Downtown, are just a car ride away.

Community: The community consists of involved residents who work together to make it a great place to live, and there’s not much ground they haven’t covered. As an extra crime prevention measure, it utilizes off-duty Houston police officers as neighborhood patrolmen. The Forest West Garden Club ensures that the area is manicured and well-maintained, and promotes educational and practical experience in gardening. The neighborhood has a members-only pool, too, which is an awesome feature for residents looking to cool off. The community is also known for its availability of more affordable homes.
