History: Thoughtfully developed in 1905, this community has grown slower than the nearby Heights. It experienced a decline and is now in the midst of redevelopment. Although many of the original homes in this neighborhood have been torn down to make way for new construction, it’s still very common to see the classic bungalow and Victorian homes initially built here.

Shopping: Being located nearby the Heights means that Brooke Smith residents always have access to great shopping on 19th Street. Downtown is also just a 10 – 15-minute car ride away. Those hoping to not stray too far from the neighborhood when completing their errands are in luck here since the neighborhood scores highly for accessibility.

Community: Brooke Smith is considered an up-and-coming neighborhood and affordable alternative to neighborhoods like the Heights.
